This is Me…

“Life was made for good friends and great adventures”

Alison x

Hi! My friends call me Ally, codename: Magpie for my love of all things sparkly. I’ve been a professional wedding and family photographer for 8 years. Originally from a small town near Cambridge, I moved to Norfolk in 2000 after watching Legally Blonde one too many times and deciding to go to Law School.

I met my husband, Mark, fell in love with the beaches of North Norfolk, and this became our permanent home. First came our chocolate Labrador, Mad Max, then two children, Lara and Logan.

I’m drawn to images that show genuine emotion and connections and many of my families and couples comment on how they are attracted to my natural, unposed images. I love that every family is different and love meeting so many amazing people. I’m often complimented on my photograph ninja skills at weddings but can’t resist a dance floor tune later in the evening!

When I’m not taking pictures, I can usually be found running or at the beach. I’ve completed 4 marathons and see my running as an excuse to consume huge amounts of cake and enjoy movie nights with the family as a rest. Max is usually snoring so loudly we can’t hear the film and Lara eats all the chocolate.

So that’s my story so far… I would love to hear about you and the plans you have,  so if you like what you see, let’s chat so I can get to know you and how I can help you tell your story in stunning images.

To tell your story I like to get to know you well and help you relax.

I will be the calm reassuring presence when you need me and take a step back to blend in with your guests and family when you are having fun capturing your precious memories. I can’t promise I won’t be strutting my stuff on a dance floor at a wedding capturing all the action or practising my moves on a family shoot!

More than anything, I want you to be able to look back at your images and re-live how you felt in that moment walking down the aisle, cuddling your newborn baby or jumping in muddy puddles with your toddler. I firmly believe that the best art on your walls, is your families story.
